Race Day!
The first thing I thought when the alarm went off at 4:30 this morning? Practice at 9pm is gonna be rough.. this morning was the Bolder Boulder, which went awesome. Then this afternoon I got a delicious massage. Practice actually wasn’t too bad, although some sprints and quick stops/cuts near the end twinged my inner thigh a bit :-/
Food
- almond butter and banana on healthy grain toast, raspberries
- tea: blended ginger peach, seattle chai, yerba mate
- vega sport performance optimizer
- bazi energy shot
- granola bar
- coffee with cream
- smoothie
- Whole food buffet – no tofu, plenty of beans and veggies, plus pita chips and guac
- coconut water
- kombucha. They were regular $3, on for 99c, AND two for one. I know why. I only drank about a third of it
- sushi
- mango ginger tofu* with bean thread noodles and steamed brussel sprouts
- grapes
- larabar
Exercise
- Bolder Boulder 10K – set another PR 🙂
- TRX – 30 atomic pushups

2 hrs roller derby
- of course, with substitutions:
2 teaspoons peanut oil or veg oil – I used sunflower
1/4 cup pure maple syrup – I used brown rice syrup, then afterwards remembered I’d planned to use coconut nectar 🙁
1 cup white cooking wine (or vegetable broth) – I used mirin ( rice wine)
fresh black pepper to taste – NEVER!
1/4 teaspoon allspice – I used garam masala
2 tablespoon rice vinegar (use apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar if you dont have rice) – I used plum wine vinegar
And, I had no peppers :-/
