Crown King Details:
The Course:: Starts at “Betty’s Trail Rides” near Lake Pleasant and follows Castle Hot Springs Rd, Champie Rd, Cow Creek Rd, Upper French Creek Rd, Crown King Trail, FR711, FR192, FR52, and FR259 to the finish in Crown King. Course is entirely on dirt/gravel/rocks except for 100 yards of asphalt on a bridge.

– First 16 Miles: Rolling and occasional steep hills on dirt, mud, and gravel mostly on maintained county roads including three miles of usually dry river bed and a few “jump-over” water crossings.
– 16 Mile Cut-off: 11:00 AM (4:30 after start)
– Mile 16 to 29: Very rugged, un-maintained (4X4) roads through the high desert and mountains, many significant climbs and descents, great views, occasionally very rough footing, numerous “splash through” stream crossings, and chance of snow at higher elevations.
– Mile 29 to finish: Gently downhill on a generally smooth dirt with some rocks.
– Finish: Crown King Saloon – 3:00 PM Finish Cut-off

Aid Stations: Full aid at Mile 8, 16, 24, and 28 – Water Only at Mile 20.
– At least 20 oz of water must be carried during the race, 40 oz recommended between Mile 15 and Mile 23.
– Aid Stations will provide: Water, Ade (Hammer Heed), Coke, Energy Bars (Mini Clif), Energy Gels (Hammer), Potatoes (Boiled), Oranges, Bananas, Potato Chips, Pretzels, Cookies (assorted including Oreos), Fig Bars, M&Ms, Gummy Bears, Endurolytes, Salt (Bulk), Crystalized Ginger

I do like how they specifically let you know there will be oreos!
